Local laboratories involved:

The development of the functional genome has led several institutes of Montagne Sainte Geneviève: Ecole Supérieure de Physique et Chimie Industrielles, Curie Institute and Ecole Normale Supérieure to join forces in order to establish an instrument base for the fabrication and analysis of DNA microarrays. We are working on reproducing and improving P. Brown's technique at Stanford University.

The instrument base was funded by CNRS, MENRNT, ARC, and Curie Institute. The platform has been selected in 2002 as a RIO transcriptome platform (Inter-Organism Network) by the following organisms: INSERM, CNRS, INRA and CEA.

Ile-de-France Génopôle:

On a first stage Evry génopôle was associated with the one from Pasteur Institute then in a second stage the génopôle merged with sites from Montagne Sainte-Geneviève, Necker-Cochin hospitals (Paris 5 University), Bichat hospital (Paris 7 University) and Gif-sur-Yvette (Paris-Sud Orsay University). We have special collaboration relationship with the transcriptome platform dof the Functional Genomic Service (SGF) from CEA in Evry. Discussions allow us to harmonize our production methods and our production work flow.

Ile-de-France génopôle belongs to a more important network of structures spread in France. The génopôle network is organised around a dedicated web site that describes all it's activities.
